Policies and Public Disclosure

Payment and Cancellation

You will be asked for credit/debit card information when booking your massage. Your card will not be charged at the time of booking *unless* you are booking a sliding-scale session (it's the only way the system accommodates this payment model). Payment is due at the time of service and you can choose another payment method, such as cash, a different card, or Venmo, at that time if you wish. Otherwise, the card on file will be charged.

Life happens! We get it! Your therapy times are reserved exclusively for you but if you need to cancel or reschedule, no problem! We just ask that you do so within 24-hours of your appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the rate of the missed service unless otherwise arranged with your practitioner. No call/no shows on the day of the appointment will be charged 100% of the service. We will charge the card on file.

Illness exception: We ask that you please reschedule your appointment if you or someone you have been in contact with is not feeling well. The cancellation policy stated above will not be enforced. *All frequently touched surfaces are thoroughly disinfected between each client, and all linens are changed.

Late Arrival

All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule, therefore, it’s not always possible to extend the time of an appointment if you arrive late. If our schedule allows, we will accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion. The original reservation fee will be charged.

Professional Boundaries

Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Suggestive comments, sexual innuendos, or touching the practitioner in an inappropriate way, will result in the termination of the session. You also have the right to end a session at any time for any reason.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will remain in the treatment room for the entire session.

Confidentiality

Your privacy is important to us. Questions regarding your health may be asked during these sessions to assess levels of stress, extent of injuries, or personal goals in the treatment. Identifiable health information is not shared with others outside of bodyspeak without your consent, except where legally required. Non-identifiable information may be shared with other practitioners only if there is therapeutic benefit to you.
